Sometimes you just need a simple reminder in regards to who you are!
- I will command my day in the name of Jesus Christ
- I will pray and have faith that the will of God be done
- I don’t have time to sweat small stuff
- I will count my blessings instead of my shortcomings
- I will find reasons to thank God
- I will push myself outside of my comfort zone(s)
- is not my past – so I wont hold myself to it
- I will be productive
- I will reach out to someone and say “Hi”
- I will smile
- I will laugh hard!
- I will compliment someone
- I will show the love of God. I will be a light.
- I will cast down every negative thought
I will be AWESOME – in Jesus Christ!
How will you be “AWESOME” today!?
Its common to be affected by what someone may say to you, and how someone may treat you, mentally, physically and emotionally..how ever – it doesn’t have to shape the way that you live. Treatment of others doesn’t have to become YOUR IDENTITY.
Regardless of the situation/circumstance, and its affects on us, no matter how it has bent us, shaped us…we have the ability to bounce back – to recover readily!
We have the option to not look like what we’ve been through….
To not respond how we use to respond, how we’ve been responded to, or how the situation would suggest that we behave!
So, next time….. Respectively decline when others try to serve you negativitea..
No thank you, I’m good. I have my own tea!
There’s something so serene and satisfying with being comfortable. It’s convenient, easy, and predictable. It lacks passion, determination, a sense of urgency, and risk. A lot of times to have faith in comfort-ability – is unneeded.
I DARE YOU TO DO SOMETHING…..
and transition out of familiar and challenge yourself to sweat a little.
Stop choosing problems that you already and easily know the answer to – pick a critical thinking question – one that deserves a little more time and thought.
Challenge yourself by CHALLENGING YOURSELF!
Rather it’s on a job – a particular position; a fear – public speaking; a talent – singing/acting, writing, play writing, Youtube channel, dance, etc. Go beyond what you are use to.
Cast down in the name of Jesus Christ every thought that says;
- I can’t….
- I’m unqualified….
- I don’t have time….
- I don’t have the money….
- I’m afraid….
- What if I look silly….
- What if I mess up….
- I tried already ….
- I’ve never done that before…..
- That’s not me….
- Insert whatever excuse is holding you back here:__________________________________________________________…..
It will be uncomfortable, a little challenging, require a little more effort, thought, passion, determination, and FAITH! But like my dance instructor says,
“if it feels like you look crazy, you’re probably doing it right!”
Stop being your worst critic and allow yourself to grow.
Allow God to show you who you are.
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye.
Forgiveness can sometimes be hard when you think about the hurt and pain someone has caused you… But then again it becomes less of a challenge when you begin to think about ALL the things that we have done against God and how He so graciously forgives us…
Well if God can forgive our mess – and He died for us. Than we can forgive anyone.
****Also note, that if we don’t forgive others, then WE ARE NOT FORGIVEN!!!****
Holding a grudge is so not worth not entering into Heaven…
Have you ever been so hard on yourself that when you made a mistake, you went totally BANANAS!? Like – beat yourself up like nobodies business… And the most crazy part about it is that – nobody knew you messed up but…… YOU!
We are our worst critic sometimes. We can be painfully analytical and demanding of ourselves – with expectations that we don’t even require from others, yet in expectancy to fulfill them ourselves.
Everything isn’t done perfectly the first time. Sometimes – it takes time. Don’t take the beauty out of the process. Enjoy it.
So the next time you stumble,
