As I reflect on personal experience and scripture in attempts to answer this question.. I have no clue where to begin….
For me, the very existence of God has always been evident. I’ve always been conscious of God, so I believe it’s necessary to address this question from the perspective of someone who has not – been always conscious.
Since there’s so many different avenues and ways that I could begin to address this question, let’s begin here….
1. God is a spirit.
And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye.
Forgiveness can sometimes be hard when you think about the hurt and pain someone has caused you… But then again it becomes less of a challenge when you begin to think about ALL the things that we have done against God and how He so graciously forgives us…
Well if God can forgive our mess – and He died for us. Than we can forgive anyone.
****Also note, that if we don’t forgive others, then WE ARE NOT FORGIVEN!!!****
Holding a grudge is so not worth not entering into Heaven…
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”
“And the Lord said, Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of meat in due season?
43 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
44 Of a truth I say unto you, that he will make him ruler over all that he hath.
45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken;
46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.”
Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
