The Lord creates man (Adam), planted a Garden in Eden, and out of the ground the Lord made every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (V.9) The Lord Commanded Adam that he could eat from every tree but one.

  1. I thought I’d reply on here to the questions you have!

    Genesis 1
1.) The meaning of Genesis I believe means the BEGINNING CREATION
2.) I see the significance in the POWER of God’s WORD is by HIM being THE WORD; all that HE says and does happens.
3.) God gave man dominion over all the animals
4.) God creating man in His LIKENESS means holiness, to imitate who He is. For God is love, the light and He is peace.

    Genesis 2
1.) I don’t believe God stopped creating after He rested
2.) What I can learn from God regards to RESTING is being still and at peace with Him; taking a break from our weekly labor and resting in Him so we can go on.
3.) God forbid Adam to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
4.) God created the animals from the ground and Adam named each one of them.
5.) Adam and Eve were not ashamed of being naked in front of each other because they didn’t know the difference; no shame was in their minds of knowing they were naked in front of each other. They had not eaten from the forbidden tree just yet to know.

    Genesis 3
1.) The serpent lied to Eve by telling here she wouldn’t die from eating from the tree of knowledge of good and evil
2.) The role of Adam was Eve’s husband
3.) I do take responsibility for my own sin now that I am closer to God and have a better understanding; I used to blame others though; being in denial
4.) I believe Adam and Eve didn’t die physically was because it was all in His plan and purpose for us today; The reason for Jesus to come on earth and die for us all to get back to Him
    5.) Yes
6.) This question on HOW i thought Adam and Eve hid from God was kind of tricky for me to answer because God see’s ALL regardless of if we think we can Hide anything from Him; it’s impossible
7.) The curses of the serpent were for him to be on his belly; putting enmity between him and woman and her seed; Eve’s curse was the pain during conceiving children, having husband rule over her and her sorrow will be greatly multiplied
    8.) NO
9.) a cherubim is a winged angelic being

    Genesis 4
1.)Yes I believe God reject Cain’s offering because it was not His first fruits
2.) The mark God gave Cain was he was cursed; whomever killed him vegeance shall be taken on him sevenfold.—still kind of question the meaning….
3.) Cain lied to God by saying he didn’t know where Abel was
4.) Tilling the ground will no longer be his strength; he will be a fugitive and a vagabond on earth.
    5.) Seth

    Proverbs 1-4

1.) some of my favorite scriptures are:

*Prov. 1:5 “a wise man will HEAR and INCREASE learning, a man of understanding will ATTAIN wise counsel”

*Prov. 1:22 “How long, you simple ones, will you love simplicity”—-> for this question speaks loudly; for we all probably have been there once upon a time before being saved and it’s like there are so many ‘simple’/lost’/lukewarm ones out there are pretty much thinking God is a joke or a fairy tale. All just still, as my pastor would say, nibbling with the world. It’s like HOW LONG will you keep ignoring the signs/word of God; for too long, He won’t hear you and just let you sow what you reap. That right there is NOT where I want to be at all.

*Prov. 2:10-12″when wisdom enters your heart, and knowledge is pleasant to your soul, discretion will preserve you; understanding will keep you, to deliver you from the way of evil,….—->i like this scripture because it’s good to know if you seek God and his word, and get the understanding that you need and apply it to your life, God WILL keep you from the evil one’s evil schemes

*Prov 3:5-6—> the well known scripture..”trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge HIm and He shall direct your paths.”

*Prov. 4:20-23—>”for they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh..” –>just this part is my favorite and touching because this tells me that God is a healer and the words are alive in the bible. The word was God, the word is God.
